My mothers' brother Inocencio used to travel in other countries like Japan. Pedro the second brother became a policeman in Manila.
There was a story that the descendants of my great grandparents are originated from Portugal. We could see it in the features of my grandmothers' brothers who had high nose and light people. They are called 'meztiso'. My grandmother named 'Clemencia' is also mestiza. High nose and light complexion. My grandmothers' other brother went to Manila as musician but never been heard. We learnt that he lived in Marinduque another province, there was no communication before so they didn't know what happened to him.
Now my grandmothers' brothers and their families are members of 'RAMASURELA' who keeps the virgin Mary Nuestra Senora Candellaria whom we celebrate every year.
To the side of my father I do not know how they live. I have not heard stories about them. I know only his brother and 2 sisters. My only story I heard is our Lolo owned a wide tract of land in Jugas and considered a Capitan.
My cousins in my fathers' side are all doing good now. They owned big houses and having good businesses.
Their children are employed and have abundant money to spend. We only see each other when there is occasion, like wedding parties or someone died in the family.
My grandfather Lorenzo Recto was a respected idle of the place. He is called 'cabisa' or a mayor now. He is intelligent and until now I have writings about former cabisas' belonging to Batan which was the seat of the town during the Spanish regime.
