..with layers of barbwires that is hard for them to get in. Some tried to get inside but he Japanese would fire shots that some are caught climbing the fence. The Japanese sent 2 boys to Kalibo to get help. There were boxes of live bullets and they were brave. Some male people of our companions were ready to fight the "bolo batallion" if they happen to enter the building.
The next morning there were several persons found dead around the building near the sugar plantation and near the fence.
Later we made a dughouse 100 meters long away from the muinicipal building. There were many families having this dug out. Months passed and we decided again to leave for Manila. The war ended after 4 years having many dead and homeless. We are lucky that no one in the family was missing except Pael Ferrers' brother whom we did not see him. When all was clear we learned hundreds of Banganhons were dead. You could find their names in a tomb found in the plaza of Banga.
The very sad thing that I experienced is when Ian my grandson was hit by the big truck. He was on my lap going to the hospital when he succumbed to death. How I shouted to the top of my voice crying for help. When we reached the hospital he was really dead. I screamed and screamed hard I didn't noticed what happened, until I recover that I am allready home. From that time I was not able to sleep for many days and weeks thinking of the incident.
