AGE 26 to 50
DESCRIBE THE ENVIRONMENT YOU LIVED IN:
Our environment on Lope de Vega Street in Sampaloc, Manila was ok. Our neighbors are friendly and cooperative. We share what food we had. Here we accept boarders from Banga who studied in different universities. They are helpful and punctual in coming home.
Two years after we went home to Aklan for a vacation. Before the opening of school we went back to Manila. We rented a bigger house in Legarda. This school(?) is near schools and universities, we get boarder again. Here Lola go to school also taking teaching course. In December 1940 we experienced the heavy bombing of Japanese planes. We were so scared and don't (know) what to do and where to go. We fled to caloocan a little far away from the city. Here we stayed in house near the beach. Everytime there is siren and we could hear the bombing of Japanese planes. We have to run and hide everywhere around the place we lived.
Later we tranferred to Novaliches a little bit far from manila the target of bombs. Here we live in a small house. There is no room for us. So we all slept in the sala. We buy casava for our food without bi__d and salt.
